How long a Drive from Miami International Airport or Fort Lauderdale
Executive Airport?
A. Allow yourself 2.5 hours from Miami International Airport
(110 Miles) and 3 hours from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (135Miles).
Note: Rush hour in Miami & Fort Lauderdale is between 6:30am-9:30am,
and 4:00pm-7:00pm., during these periods add 1 Hour of Travel Time.
Pick your airport between Miami and Fort Lauderdale based on your
convenience and or cost of flights. Both airports are major airports
that service most parts of the country. You can fly into Marathon
or into Key West but flights are limited and can be expensive. Also
rentals cars are less expensive on the main land and the drive down
to the Keys is a beautiful drive over 30 bridges that connect the
islands of the Keys.

Do you have weather protected boat dockage on site? Where do I put
my boat in if I drive it down on a trailer? Is there deep-water access
from the ocean to the dock?
A. Yes, we have a 135-foot
dock with deep-water access to the ocean through a marked
channel. From the Ocean side you will see a 13-story building
just 1 mile south of the Cocoplum Channel. This is the tallest building within
40 miles of us.
A. You can launch your boat and use the FREE public boat ramp
approximately one mile from here, on US-1 Bayside just a half mile
down the road is a small marina with a fairly new ramp. Maries Yacht
Harbor - 100 Ave I, Marathon Florida 33050, 305-289-0562. Don't
be surprised if no one ever answers the phone. Just go there
when you arrive.
A. We recommend a Wonderful Marina 1/4 mile away with Dry and
Wet Storage at Shelter
Bay Marine. Ask for Brock. Ramp Service is $10 each way (Free
City Ramp 1 Mile away next to the Quay Restaurant) Short Term dockage
on a Floating Dock is .75 Cents per Foot per Day. Open M-F 8am-5pm,
Sat. 8am-12pm, with Marina access 7 days a week + all hours. Owner/Operator,
Brock, lives on site.

How many people
may occupy the home? Bedding Arrangements?
A. Strict Maximum occupancy is 12 people all in comfortable
beds. (No more than 8 adults). Each
master suite (2) has a king size bed, each
guest bedroom (2) each have 2 queen beds. Total of 2
king beds and 4 queen beds.
All four bedrooms each have their own full bathroom in addition to
a 5th full bathroom upstairs off the family
room.

Can guests visit us while we stay at
Cocoplum on the Bay?
A. Yes, but only 12 people maximum are
allowed on the property at any time. So if there are 12 people in
your group occupying the home then NO additional guests would be allowed
on the premises at any time. This is a very strict rule that all must
adhere to. We have a security guard checking the premises on a regular
basis. No party's are permitted on the premises. The only exception
would be a pre-approved event like a wedding party. Respect our quiet
neighborhood and be good neighbors while you are occupying our home.

Are you going to
have any special discounts, if so, when? What about extended monthly
rentals?
A. Our lowest Rates are from September until Mid-December.

How do I check in and where do I get my keys?
A. All check-ins will be done at Cocoplum
Beach and Tennis Club, just one block away. Office hours are Monday
to Saturday 9 am to 5 pm and closed 1 hour during lunch some time
between 12 noon and 2 pm. closed on Sunday. In any event if you need
to check in after regular office hours you will need to contact the
office to set up an after hours check in. After hours check-ins are
easy but must be set up in advance.

What do we do with our Garbage?
A. All garbage should be thrown away in one of the trash cans
located under home in the carport. Make sure each can lid is closed
tightly. On Monday early morning and Friday early morning the trash cans
must be moved out to the street for normal pick up. After trash is
picked up, please return the cans back to the location under the home.
Please adhere to this in the strict sense to secure the environment
at Cocoplum and our neighbors.

Is there a daily maid service?
A. No, our units are your "Home away from Home." We clean the
unit at the end of your stay. The home has it's own laundry room if
you want to freshen up your towels or linens. If you request additional
cleaning there will be a charge of $25 per hour and you will receive
fresh towels and linens. This extra service must be requested in advance.

How far to Key West?
A. It will take a beautiful one hour to drive to Key West.
Features a Trip over the Famous 7-Mile Bridge. Go slow
on the roads of Deer Key because the Key Deer is an Endangered Species!

Is there a shuttle to Key West? Miami? Fort Lauderdale?
A. The shuttle service is Keys Shuttle. www.floridakeysshuttle.com

A. We have two large grocery stores within 4 miles of the home.
Winn Dixie and Publix and a Kmart.

Do you rent out any Water Sports, IE:
Jet Skis, Parasail, etc..?
A. No, we do not rent any water sports, etc. Nearest Rental
would be Island Tiki
Bar & Restaurant (they rent from the restaurant) or R&R
